Pret launches reusable bottle range to slash consumer plastics waste
Pret A Manger has unveiled a new range of reusable bottles to help reduce the amount of plastic used by customers. Characterised by bright colours and a stylish and fun design, the 500ml reusable bottles are available in fourteen Pret stores for £20 and can be refilled for free using Pret’s filtered water stations that are available in selected shops across the country. The initiative comes soon after the announcement of the Government’s plan to create a deposit return scheme in England for single-use drinks containers and it coincides with the trial of a Pret plastic deposit return scheme, which is claimed to be a UK-first. Consumers taking Pret-branded plastic bottles into three shops in Brighton will be given back a 10p deposit.
