Tri Lanka - Sustainable Eco Resort in Sri Lanka
Eco tourism at its finest. Founders Robert Drummond and Lara Baumann enlisted award-winning architect Raefer Wallis to design a stunning hotel in Sri Lanka with a sustainable concept in its core. The result is that living walls, green roofs, solar arrays, edible gardens and entirely local materials unify accommodations and landscape. To minimise the impact on nature, recycled local oak wood has been used to built the hotel. To reduce its carbon footprint solar panels are being used at the hotel, and the hotel analyses and reviews its water and electricity consumption on an annual basis. Tri Lanka is also planting local trees and bushes to support the ecosystem of local birds, butterflies and dragonflies.
Hotel guests can enjoy the delicious cuisine, relax at the spa or do yoga to recharge their batteries. The yoga shala at Tri Lanka is simply breathtaking, and we can only imagine how wonderful one might feel after a yoga or meditation class.
